Nature · स्वभाव

The nature of this nakshatra

Revati is the last of the twenty-seven, and its deity is Pushan, the shepherd who guides souls and travellers on their way; its symbol is a fish swimming in the ocean of the sky. This is the nakshatra of safe passage, gentleness and completion — the caretaker at the end of the journey who sees everyone home. Mercury rules it, giving a bright, kind, communicative mind. People with the Moon in Revati are gentle, nurturing and well-liked; they are sensitive to others, protective of the weak and of animals, and often have a mystical or otherworldly streak. There is a sweetness and a wish to help that is entirely genuine, and a talent for guiding and encouraging others along their path without ever making them feel pushed.

Strengths · शक्ति

Where it is strong

The strength is nourishing, guiding gentleness. Revati cares for people and creatures, smooths their way, and encourages them toward their own completion; it is a natural protector, guide and peacemaker. It has creative and communicative gifts, a refined and compassionate sensibility, and a spiritual depth that comes from being the journey’s end. It is generous without expectation and brings a calm, kindly light to whatever it touches — the shepherd who loses none of the flock.

Watch-outs · सावधानी

What to watch for

The gentleness can become over-sensitivity, dependence and a tendency to give until it is drained. Revati can be too trusting, easily hurt, and prone to sacrificing itself or losing its boundaries in caring for others; the dreamy streak can drift into escapism and impracticality. The work is to protect its own edges while it protects everyone else — to give sustainably, to keep its feet on the ground, and to let itself be guided and cared for as it guides and cares for the rest.

Work and relationships · कर्म व संबंध

Career and relationships

Tradition points Revati toward nurturing, guiding and creative fields: care and counselling, teaching, work with children and animals, travel and hospitality, the arts, spiritual and healing work. These people do well where kindness and guidance are the point, and where someone is needed to see others safely through. In relationships they are tender, devoted and selfless, and the growth edge is boundaries — caring for themselves as faithfully as they care for everyone else.

How this page is worked out

The ruling graha, rashi span, dasha length and the four padas are the classical attributes of Revati, computed from its position on the sidereal wheel with Lahiri ayanamsa. The written character is offered for reflection, drawn from the tradition’s significations — not a prediction about any individual life.
